1. Turmeric

Turmeric contains component called Curcumin, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. These healing properties prevent our blood platelets from forming clots.


On the other hand, turmeric extracts helps to reduce the level of ‘bad’ cholesterol (LDL), thus it reduces buildup in the arteries. It also relaxes our blood vessels and reduces the risk of strokes and heart attack.

      1.      Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder and a teaspoon of honey to glass of warm milk and drink it in the morning and before going to bed. 
      2.      Include turmeric in your regular cooking.
      3.      You can also take pure turmeric supplements. The normal recommended dosages are 400-600 mg three times a day. But consult your doctor before taking turmeric supplements.


2. Sesame Seed

3. Flaxseed

Recommended doses of garlic

5-8 gm of fresh raw garlic
0.4 to 1.5 gm of dried garlic powder
2-5 mg garlic oil

6. Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper contains the compound called capsaicin which prevents bad cholesterol (LDL) and oxidation. Thus it reduces bad cholesterol levels in the blood, and bad cholesterol is one of the main reasons behind clogged arteries.


Limited consumption of cayenne pepper reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke and also improves blood circulation.

      1.      Add half or one teaspoon of cayenne pepper to cup of hot water and mix it well. Drink this warm water twice a day for a few weeks.

General recommended dosages

 2 to 3, 500 mg capsules (take 1-4 capsules a daily)
